Obsidian Kitten

Small, glossy and full of personality, this little kitten is carved from natural black obsidian. Its compact size makes it an easy addition to an altar, desk, nightstand or anywhere you’d like a tiny companion nearby.

Black obsidian is traditionally associated with grounding, protection and self-reflection. Cats, too, have carried spiritual symbolism across cultures, often associated with intuition, independence, protection and guardianship. Together, the stone and its feline form make this little carving feel especially fitting as a symbolic companion for your space.

Why I chose it

First, I loved the kitten. It’s playful, a little mysterious and completely unexpected. But I also loved the pairing of the cat with black obsidian. Both carry symbolism connected to protection and intuition, giving such a tiny piece a surprising amount of presence.

That connection also echoes The Temple, a Venus Rose Portal centered on quieting the outside world, returning to your own wisdom and remembering what is already within you.
